Nominations are now live!
The FemmeRemix 2016 tagset is now up and nominations are now live.
Please only nominate fandoms in which you have written three or more stories of 500 words or more OR five stories of 100 words or more about or involving canonical female characters. This is to help us streamline matching.
As a reminder, here are the rules regarding crossovers and megafandoms:

As a reminder, here are the rules regarding crossovers and megafandoms:
For the purpose of matching, stories which require knowledge of one or more canons are considered crossovers. This includes most instances where two canons take place within the same universe, though there are some exceptions.
Example: You have written three 500-word stories that use characters from both Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion. You do not qualify in either fandom because we cannot guarantee that you will match on both Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion.
The biggest exception to this rule is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has multiple interrelated canons. To simplify the MCU as best as possible while still allowing for the prolific overlap of many of these canons, we have divided it thusly:
The Avengers (Marvel Movies) — Includes all stories involving characters who are currently part of the Avengers team: Ant Man, Avengers 1-2, Iron Man 1-3, Captain America 1-3, and Thor 1-2.
Daredevil (TV)
Agent Carter (TV) — Includes both the TV show and the short film.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (TV)
Guardians of the Galaxy (Movies)
Jessica Jones (TV)

Out of curiosity, would you be open to making tags visible while nominations are underway? There's a few fandoms I'm in where I have two 500+ stories that are eligible--If I know early on that someone else is interested in requesting or offering that fandom, that's great motivation for me to write another eligible story before sign-ups proper start.

Misty Knight, for example, has been in Iron Fist, Deadly Hands of Kung Fu, Daredevil, Namor, Defenders, Daughters of the Dragon, Deadlock, Power Man & Iron Fist, Heroes for Hire, and New Avengers. I only qualify on fic about her because I use "Heroes for Hire" as a catch all for a variety of street-level heroes/titles.

I think Remix Redux had Avengers (comics) and X-Men (comics), but a lot of people do cross over those as well, especially with characters like Wanda and Carol.

So for example, if you've written several stories wherein Wanda is hanging out with the X-Men, they would be categorized under X-Men (comics), while stories wherein Wanda is with the Avengers would be categorized under Avengers (comics).
Participants would have to use their own discretion about where particular stories might fall, but that seems like it might be the best option.

I would be comfortable including the Heroes for Hire gang under the Avengers, and just picking sides for the rest.
For me, offering comics in something like this does include a risk of finding a bunch of fic based on a title I haven't read, but I've always been pretty willing to track down whatever it is to catch up, and I think most comics fans are. It's more fun than offering little titles and not matching.

You, uh, don't seem to have tickied the "Make tags visible" box in the edit settings though? I still can't see the tag set.

1. I know Rule 63 stories don't count towards your numbers, but can they be remixed? The reason I ask is that my customary safe story is my Rule 63 fic but if they're off-limits anyway, should I still bother listing it?
2. Can stories in series count towards your qualifying, and does it matter if the series is incomplete?

2. Stories in series do count toward qualifying as long as the individual stories are complete. It doesn't matter if the series itself is incomplete.

Another question: If I have permission from my original author, can I include remixes I've written? (It doesn't make a difference for my counts, but remixing remixes is fun!).

1) Are the Star Wars movies considered one fandom or three (Original, Prequel and Sequel Trilogies) or seven (one per movie)? I would have thought the Star Wars fandom would be divided similarly to MCU (movies, cartoons, Legends books, EU books, comics, etc) but The Force Awakens is currently all on its lonesome in the tagset.
2) Does Fantastic Four (comicverse) count as Avengers (Comics) or X-Men (Comics)?

2. Neither of the mods are very familiar with Fantastic Four. Would it make sense for them to be slotted in with one group or the other, or would it be better to have them as a separate split as well?

2. Given that Marvel tends to treat the comics as mutants on one side and everyone else on the other and that's there's more crossover betwen the Avengers and Fantastic Four teams than the X-Men and Fantastic Four teams (as far as I know), I think it would make more sense to have them be under Avengers (comics).
